HEALTH AND NUTRITION
It's hard work being a puppy. Not only do their little muscles and bones need the
right nutrients to grow healthy, they also need lots of energy to help discover
the world.
This is also the time your puppy develops that unconditional trust and love for
the person that is always there for them. And the ritual of food is one of these
bonding moments.
Your puppy is ready to start having solid food at six weeks of age. Your puppy's
diet should have the right proportion of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins
and minerals. Clean fresh drinking water should always be available.
The best way to ensure your puppy is having all the nutrients in the correct amount
is by using foods specifically designed for them. MY DOG Puppy is a balanced and
complete meal that is gentle on little stomachs, preservative free, very tasty and
has all the protein and fibre to give your little friend the best possible start
in life.
A good idea is to combine different recipes and types of food – wet, dry – in your
puppy's diet. Mixed feeding provides variety and potentially relieves the urge to
seek different foods or chew materials around the home. Also, puppies weaned onto
varied diets develop broad food preferences and show little neophobia (fear of new
things or experiences). This is particularly important for puppies to avoid aversions
in later life and grow up to be unfussy eaters.
