While good grooming is an important part of keeping your dog healthy and looking good, it also provides an ideal opportunity to spend some quality time with your loving companion. Grooming is also a good opportunity for you to check the skin and coat for the presence of tangles, fleas or other irritants that may be bothering your pet.
Being gently brushed is almost like getting a full body massage and is my favourite part of the day! Not only does a good brush help keep my hair tangle free, it also helps evenly distribute my body's natural oils to help keep my coat healthy and shiny.

If I have lots of energy, I find it very difficult to sit still which tends to make our special grooming time a bit of a chore! Before you start, consider going for a walk together so your dog is nice and relaxed and ready for a good rub down.
Start from the head and work the brush down the body, always in the direction of the hair growth, and concentrating on those areas where hair can easily become tangled such as the legs.
To thoroughly spoil your dog, take a bit of extra time to find the areas your dog likes and dislikes being brushed. Concentrate on the 'good' spots while talking in a soothing tone to really make your dog's day!

We all love a good soak in the tub and, when done correctly, so will your pampered pooch!
Gently rinse the coat with warm water, being careful not to get water in the ears. Apply a special pet shampoo in small amounts and, being careful not to get any in the eyes, massage into the coat - particularly around the bottom, between the toes and around the mouth.
Thoroughly rinse out the shampoo and towel the coat dry.
